softie on the outside, spicy in the inside. Let’s make @buldak_global katsu sandos but in 3 ways. I made our favorite honey butter base and mixed each sauce for a balance of sweet and spicy balance. It was HEAVEN. I found the Buldak sauce trifecta at my local Walmart but you can find it at Krogers as well! Enjoy!

What you need

panko

1 cup panko

frying oil

1 cup frying oil

cabbage

¼ head cabbage

all purpose flour

4 tbsp all purpose flour

bread

table sugar

1 tsp table sugar

sesame seed

1 tbsp sesame seed

soy sauce

1 tsp soy sauce

salt

1 pinch salt

sesame oil

½ tsp sesame oil

pepper

1 pinch pepper

rice vinegar

1 tsp rice vinegar

chicken thigh

5 chicken thigh

mayo

2 tbsp mayo

egg

Instructions

1. layer plastic wrap over chicken & flatten them out with a mallet. dip chicken thighs in a mixture of beaten eggs, all purpose flour, salt & pepper mixed together. then coat chicken thighs with panko. set aside.
2. heat about 1 inch of oil in pan to 300F. fry cutlets on constant 300-330F til golden brown on each side. set aside on wire rack or paper towel to let cool.
3. chop cabbage. mix in kewpie, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, & sesame seeds. set aside.
4. assemble sando with sliced milk bread, cabbage, chicken katsu, and drizzle/coat with your choice of Buldak Sauce. optional: cut edges for presentation.
5. enjoy!
