Another date night dish for you and me. I promise you, making this is such a breeze. It’s super ✨creamy✨, briny, and PACKED with umami. This is pretty similar looking to the popular mentaiko cream udon or spicy cod roe udon as well. You may also top this with a soft boil egg as well!

What you need

green onion

1 bunch green onion

garlic powder

¼ tbsp garlic powder

unsalted butter

2 tbsp unsalted butter

Furikake

heavy cream

1 cup heavy cream

pepper

1 pinch pepper

udon noodles

all purpose flour

1 tbsp all purpose flour

dashi

½ tbsp dashi

mayonnaise

⅓ cup mayonnaise

Instructions

1. Boil udon for 5 min, strain. Set aside.
2. Chop green onions (thin and diagonally for presentation points).
3. Mix kewpie mayo and a heaping spoon of masago together in a large bowl. Set aside.
4. On med/low heat, melt butter in pan and add flour. Mix with spatula 'til all combined. Mix in heavy cream, stir and heat 'til it starts to bubble & thicken a little. Mix in udon.
5. Transfer creamy udon to the bowl of kewpie masago and mix.
6. Plate creamy masago udon and top with extra masago, green onions, and nori flakes/furikake. Enjoy!
