This recipe brings together the best of musubi and sushi bake (Seafood Dynamite) into a spicy, savory, and easy-to-make hand-held snack. It features a baked mix of salmon and krab sticks, seasoned sushi rice, and nori.
Prep:
1. Wash and cook rice.
2. Chop green onions. Set aside.
3. Roughly chop salmon, krab sticks, and other seafood (if any) into small bits. Set aside.
4. Mix chopped seafood, green onions, kewpie, sriracha & loads of masago together in a bowl. Set aside.
5. Mix rice vinegar, sugar, & salt in a bowl. Drizzle & fold into rice (rice will be on the 'wet' side but it will absorb and become sticky). Cover with plastic wrap over bowl. Set aside.
Cook:
1. Preheat oven to 400F.
2. Bake seafood mix in an oven safe shallow container at 400F for 20min.
3. Take out of oven & set aside.
Musubi:
1. Layer rice then furikake into musubi mold and press down into mold. Push through to create musubi rice shape.
2. Top rice with seafood bake (if you have a torch, lightly torch top of seafood bake).
3. Carefully wrap nori by pressing down on each of the sides tightly then folding the nori underneath one by one.
4. Enjoy!
